Measure My Face is an optional camera-based sizing tool provided by Space Armory, operated by Yusuf Mert Turhan LLC. This policy explains how the feature works, what information it processes, your choices, and the limits of its recommendations. It supplements our Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and Return and Refund Policy.
The essentials
• Your live camera image is analysed in your device’s browser. The measurement feature does not upload camera images, video recordings, or facial landmark coordinates to Space Armory’s measurement service.
• The feature uses ordinary camera images. It does not request LiDAR, TrueDepth depth data, Face ID data, or microphone access.
• Account saving is optional. A saved record contains a numerical measurement, recommended size, date, and technical version information linked to your customer account.
• A numerical measurement can also accompany a product in your cart and order. Removing a saved account measurement does not remove information from existing carts or completed orders.
• Results are estimates for choosing a Space Armory mask size. They are not a guarantee of fit or a medical, protective-equipment, or identity-verification assessment.
1. Your choice to use the camera
You can shop, choose a size, and use our manual measurement instructions without allowing camera access or saving a measurement. Camera access is requested when you start the camera step. Your browser controls the permission prompt; permission alone does not save a measurement to your account or subscribe you to marketing.
You may close the scanner at any time and revoke camera permission in your browser or device settings. The feature stops its camera stream when the scanner is closed or a measurement attempt ends. Browser and operating-system permissions remain under your control.
Use the feature for yourself. Do not capture another person without their permission. The feature is not intended for children, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
2. How local measurement works
The browser processes live frames to estimate facial and iris landmarks, check positioning, and calculate an approximate sizing measurement. These transient image and landmark calculations take place on the device, including within a local browser worker where supported. Software and model files are downloaded to run the feature; downloading those files does not send your camera feed to the model provider.
The tool does not intentionally create or retain a facial identity template, recognise you, match your face against a database, or authenticate your account using your face. Signing in is handled separately by Shopify and any sign-in provider you choose. We do not receive your Face ID template or your sign-in provider’s password.
We do not access the camera’s LiDAR or other hardware depth sensor through this feature. Any spatial landmark estimates are calculated from camera images, rather than being a hardware depth scan. The scanner does not request audio.
3. Information that can leave your device
Optional saved measurement. If you choose “Save my measurement”, the measurement service receives the numerical value, recommended size, measurement method, measurement time, and sizing/engine version. It associates that record with your Shopify customer identifier and our store identifier. This lets the same saved measurement be used across Space Armory masks.
Shopping information. A numerical result and its source can be attached to the relevant product in your cart, including when you continue shopping after measuring. If you place the order, those product details may remain with the order for fulfilment and support. Camera images and landmark coordinates are not attached.
Optional feedback. If you submit a measurement-experience rating, we receive the selected number of stars, any comment you choose to write, your customer account identifier, and submission details. Our measurement service creates a private support record in Shopify, and Shopify delivers it to our support team by email. The email does not include your camera image or numerical measurement. Feedback is not automatically published as a product review, and submitting it does not sign you up for marketing. Please do not include payment details, passwords, photographs, or sensitive personal information in your comment.
Operational information. Shopify, our hosting and delivery providers, and your browser communicate to load the feature, authenticate requests, protect the service, and handle submissions. These requests can involve ordinary technical information such as IP addresses, request times, browser details, and error/status information. Where permitted by your analytics preferences, the storefront may record feature events, such as starting or completing a measurement. Our measurement-event code does not include the camera image, facial landmarks, or numerical measurement in those analytics events. 4. Saving, updating, and removing your measurement
An account holds one current saved measurement, not a separate measurement for each mask. If you have a saved measurement, the scanner offers “Update my saved measurement”. When enabled, a successful new measurement can replace the saved one. Turn this option off before measuring for someone else. Invalid results, conflicting updates, and substantially different replacements may be rejected and require you to review or repeat the measurement.
Turning off saving or updating prevents a new save; it does not erase a record already stored. To remove the current record, open Profile → My Measurements, select the remove control, and confirm. You can also contact us to request access, correction, or deletion.
Removing the saved measurement stops its future automatic use from your profile. It does not retrospectively change a selected size, an existing cart item, a submitted support message, or a completed order. Minimal account/revision information may remain to prevent an old browser tab from recreating a deleted record. Separate transaction, security, and support records are handled under our Privacy Policy and applicable retention obligations.
5. Temporary browser information
The storefront can keep the numerical result and product context in browser session storage so you can apply the result while shopping. If you ask to save while signed out, it can temporarily keep a pending result in the same browser tab so saving can resume after sign-in; that continuation expires after 20 minutes. Closing the tab or clearing site data may remove this temporary information. The account-saving component does not keep a persistent browser copy of your saved account measurement.
Preference or completion markers may be used to synchronise the feature and avoid repeatedly asking for feedback. These markers are separate from camera images. Sharing a device or account can expose saved sizing information to other people using that same signed-in session; sign out when using a shared device.
6. Purposes, providers, and legal grounds
We use feature information to provide the sizing tool you request, remember an optional sizing preference, apply that preference to shopping, maintain the service, and respond to feedback or support requests. Camera processing is initiated by your choice to use the scanner and allow access. Account saving and feedback require separate actions. Where applicable law requires consent for a particular activity, you may withdraw it by stopping the activity, disabling the relevant option, removing the saved record, or contacting us. Withdrawal does not make earlier lawful processing unlawful.
Where applicable, information necessary to provide a requested account or shopping service is processed to perform that service; proportionate security, troubleshooting, and support processing may rely on legitimate interests; and legally required records may be retained to meet legal obligations. These grounds apply only to the extent permitted in your jurisdiction. A browser permission prompt is not a waiver of privacy rights.
Shopify provides the storefront, account, cart, order, general contact-form services, and the workflow that delivers measurement-experience feedback to our support mailbox. Our measurement account service uses Cloudflare hosting and database services. Service providers process information needed to operate these functions, and information may be processed outside your country as described in our Privacy Policy. Camera-processing code does not transmit your camera feed to those services. We do not use the measurement service to sell facial images or build an advertising identity from your face.
7. Retention and security
Live camera frames and derived landmarks are used transiently for the local attempt; the measurement feature does not keep an image or video archive. The current account measurement remains available until it is replaced, removed, or erased through the applicable account/privacy process. A submitted feedback comment is held by the measurement service while delivery is attempted and removed from its active database after successful email handoff. A rating and submission marker remain to prevent repeated submissions. The Shopify support record, delivery workflow, support email, and transaction information are retained for the support, service, and legal purposes described in the Privacy Policy, rather than being deleted automatically when you remove a saved measurement.
The account service uses encrypted HTTPS connections, authenticated customer requests, account-scoped storage, and checks against conflicting updates. No internet service or device can be guaranteed completely secure. Contact us if you believe your account or measurement information has been accessed without permission.
8. Accuracy, device differences, and appropriate use
The displayed measurement and size recommendation are estimates. Camera lens characteristics, device processing, distance, angle, movement, lighting, occlusion, and natural differences in face and iris proportions can affect the result. Repeating a measurement or changing devices may produce a different value or size, especially near a size boundary. Displayed decimal places do not imply equivalent physical accuracy. A completed measurement means it passed the feature’s current checks; it is not an independent calibration certificate.
Follow the on-screen guidance, face the camera in even light, keep still, and keep hair away from the sides of your face. If results differ or seem unsuitable, use the manual instructions or contact us before choosing a size. Support for opening a camera on a phone, tablet, or computer does not mean identical accuracy on every device.
The tool is a shopping aid for costume and cosplay mask sizing. It does not assess health, diagnose a condition, certify a respirator seal, or verify protective equipment. It must not be relied on for medical, occupational-safety, or identity-verification decisions.
9. Your rights and consumer protections
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, obtain a copy of, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information, withdraw consent, and complain to a relevant regulator. The Privacy Policy explains these rights and how to exercise them. We may need to verify your identity before disclosing or changing account information. Your rights do not depend on submitting a rating or keeping a saved measurement.
Nothing in this policy excludes mandatory consumer rights, applicable product warranties, remedies for defective or misdescribed goods, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Returns and exchanges remain subject to our published Return and Refund Policy and applicable law; using or declining the scanner does not itself waive those rights. This policy does not claim that the feature is government-certified or that every jurisdiction treats facial-measurement processing in the same way.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the feature or our practices change and will update the date above and provide additional notice or obtain consent where required. A policy update does not by itself authorise an incompatible new use of information already collected.
